Harvest Moon Dreamwork
Saturday, September 26, 9:30am-3:30pm Eastern, on Zoom
Overview
Celebrate autumn under the Harvest Moon! • Slow down, pause, and reconnect with your inner wisdom. • Relax through creative self-care. • Explore a dream in depth. • Experience SoulCollage®. • Reflect on the invitations of this season of your life. Before our workshop, please select a dream that awakens your curiosity. For example: • a recent dream, • a recurring dream, or • a memorable dream from a previous season of your life. It is important that you feel safe enough to explore your chosen dream. You may find it helpful to write your dream as a story (e.g., “I am walking through the neighborhood at night, down a path that leads directly to the beach. Suddenly, a dark wave rushes toward me.”) Writing in the present tense can help you to reconnect more fully with your dream and to remember forgotten details. You might also enjoy giving your dream a working title to highlight what is most vivid for you (e.g., “Dark Wave”). During our daylong workshop, you will have opportunities to experience creative dreamwork practices. No one else will see your writing or images unless you decide to share them. You will need the following supplies: • reliable Internet access to our Zoom meetings; • peaceful surroundings; • creative space; • a candle to light; • a written description of your chosen dream; • your journal; • your favorite pen; • colors (e.g., markers, crayons, paints); • blank paper (e.g., printer paper, sketch paper, paper cut from a roll); • sticky notes; • 30-50 found images (e.g., images cut out of magazines, catalogs, wrapping paper, or old calendars); • 1-2 glue sticks, preferably acid-free and photo-safe; and • comfortable scissors. In particular, please gather images that evoke the setting, characters, and mood of your chosen dream. You are welcome to use homemade materials. However, if you would like to purchase materials, below are some recommendations: • blank mat boards: Hanford Mead blank SoulCollage® cards; • copyright-free image source: Catherine Anderson’s *The Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water: A Collection of Photographic Images to Cut Out and Use in Personal Art.* (Like her other photo books, this one was designed to be lovingly pulled apart, so please do not worry about cutting up a beautiful book.) If you cancel your registration by Monday, September 21, you will receive a refund.
