The Art of Felt Sensing: Focusing Course

Overview

This two-year Focusing training and certification program is designed to support spiritual directors: • Enjoy learning Focusing through expressive-arts practices. • Meet regularly with a partner to practice Focusing. • Develop your listening skills. • Explore how you might facilitate Focusing as a spiritual director. • Deepen your spirituality. Entirely online, the 2028-2030 focusing training and certification program for spiritual directions will unfold across four seven-month quarters: • QUARTER ONE (January 2028-July 2028): The Art of Pausing and Focusing; • QUARTER TWO (August 2028-February 2029): The Art of Interacting and Listening; • QUARTER THREE (March 2029-September 2029): The Art of Crossing and Thinking at the Edge; • QUARTER FOUR (October 2029-April 2030): The Art of Integrating and Facilitating Focusing. Classes meet on Zoom on the first and third Fridays of the month, 10:00am-12:30pm Eastern, beginning on January 7, 2028. For more information, please email me. PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY: • You have three payment options: (1) a single payment of $4000 at registration; (2) a $250 deposit at registration, then four $1000 payments, each by the beginning of each quarter ($4,250 total); or (3) a $250 deposit at registration, then 28 monthly payments of $150 ($4,450 total). • If you cancel your registration before the first class meeting, your initial deposit/first payment will be refunded, and no additional payments will be collected. • If you withdraw from the program after it has begun, your payments to date, including your deposit, will not be reimbursed. However, no additional payments will be due. • The International Focusing Institute will charge additional fees for membership and certification.
