The Art of Felt-Sensing: Focusing Course

Overview

This two-year Focusing training and certification program is designed to support spiritual directors: • Enjoy learning Focusing through expressive-arts activities. • Meet regularly with a partner to practice Focusing. • Develop your empathic listening skills. • Explore how you might facilitate Focusing as a spiritual director. • Deepen your spirituality. Entirely online, the 2028-2030 focusing training and certification program for spiritual directors will unfold across four seven-month quarters: • QUARTER ONE (June 2027-December 2027): The Art of Pausing and Focusing; • QUARTER TWO (January 2028-July 2028): The Art of Interacting and Listening; • QUARTER THREE (August 2028-February 2029): The Art of Untangling and Thinking at the Edge; • QUARTER FOUR (March 2029-September 2029): The Art of Facilitating and Teaching Focusing. Classes meet on Zoom twice per month for two and a half hours. For more information, please email me (anne@thesoulcompanion.com). PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY: • Depending on your preference, I will invoice you for one of three payment plans: (1) a nonrefundable $200 deposit + $2,800 payment at registration ($3,000 total) ; (2) a nonrefundable $250 deposit + four quarterly payments of $700, each due by the first class meeting of the quarter ($3,050 total); or (3) a nonrefundable $300 deposit + 28 monthly payments of $100, each due by first class meeting of the month ($3,100 total). • If you withdraw from the course, you will receive a prorated refund, minus your deposit. • The International Focusing Institute will charge additional fees for membership and certification.
