Light in Darkness: Solstice SoulCollage
Sunday, December 21, 6:00pm-8:30pm Eastern, on Zoom
Overview
This workshop is a creative way to celebrate the Winter Solstice: • Slow down, pause, and reconnect with your inner wisdom. • Relax through creative self-care. • Experience SoulCollage®. • Reflect on the invitations of this season of your life. During this workshop, you will be welcome to share your experiences, insights, and questions with the group. However, no one will see your SoulCollage® cards unless you decide to share them. You will need the following supplies: • reliable Internet access to our Zoom meetings; • peaceful surroundings; • creative space; • a candle to light; • your journal; • your favorite pen; • a piece of blank paper (8.5" x 11" printer paper or larger); • 2 blank cards (5" x 8" matboards or cardboard rectangles); • 30-50 found images (images cut out of magazines, catalogs, old calendars, greeting cards, or wrapping paper); • a glue stick, preferably acid-free and photo-safe; and • comfortable scissors. In particular, you may wish to gather images of WINTER, NIGHT, DARKNESS, and LIGHT. Please feel free to use homemade materials. However, if you would like to purchase materials, below are some recommendations: • blank cards: Hanford Mead blank SoulCollage® cards; • copyright-free image source: Catherine Anderson’s *The Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water: A Collection of Photographic Images to Cut Out and Use in Personal Art.* (Like her other photo books, this one was designed to be lovingly pulled apart, so please do not worry about cutting up a beautiful book.) If you cancel your registration by Monday, December 15, you will receive a full refund.
